Everyone THINKS Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is breaking its own social mold by having one of the main characters be black, but the truly groundbreakingly progressive scene isn’t anything you’ll see in any trailers. About halfway into the movie, Luke Skywalker looks directly into the camera at the viewer and loudly yells, “FUCK!!!!!!!!”, then stares at the viewer in silence for twenty seconds. The scene is never mentioned again for the rest of the movie, but we think this might be some MAJOR foreshadowing for the next two episodes. Way to go, JJ!!
