just to clarify ADHD terminology, because it seems there’s some confusion:
hyperfocus – verb. the opposite of unfocused; it’s, like, 10000% focus one one thing, completely shutting out everything else. You could do / discuss ____ for hours and hours and hours without pause for food or water.
ADHD-typical term, but can also be experienced by those w OCD or ASD.hyperfixation (alt. special interest) – noun. the thing that you are so interested in that even just bringing it up / starting doing it will slam you right into hyperfocusing. hyperfixation / special interest are ADHD & ASD family terminology (respectively).
